Job Description:
As part of a technical group in Chief Information Security Office (CISO) Cyber Security, this position is responsible for supporting the foundation of Cyber Security, specifically with perimeter connectivity and reduction of risk. The primary focus of this position will fall under the reconciliation and optimization of external connectivity providing a conscientious analysis of perimeter connectivity. Will need to understand and follow the CISO approach to defense in depth as it relates to Network Security and evaluate routine, as well as ad hoc network connectivity requests evaluation with emphasis on external parties. An ideal candidate will have strong technical understanding of current polices and technologies implemented in the network security domain, providing an evaluation of the current product set, identifying definable weaknesses, and detailing the relative risk with mitigation plans for implementing one or more strategies to the representative or key decision makers.
Job Background:
This position will require strong Connectivity Registry background, Networking and network security, a strong knowledge of Network perimeter devices (firewall, Proxy), creative thinking and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Review of connectivity requests supporting the Annual Verification phase, validating ownership and registration detail
Reconciliation of legacy connectivity for ownership, registration, and usage
Completing ratification of connectivity requests with the implementation detail
Assess Citi infrastructure and determine weakest security areas providing feedback and solutions to strengthen these areas
Track and document reconciliation processes, monitor remediation statistics, and provide weekly metric reporting
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of relative experience
A broad based background in relevant technologies from a security perspective as in desktop, virtualized PC environments, OS lockdown, deployment standardization, virus/malware prevention, host protection alternatives, patch management, and network security including scanning, detecting, and strategies for firewalls and Proxies and network controls; as well as subject matter expertise in some
A comprehensive background in networking (data and voice), network security and network assessment is preferred
In addition, expert Excel level, strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and creative thinking will be required to support the continuously evolving technological environment.
This position will require strong documentation skills to support the metrics and reporting tasks
