DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Database Migration Service (DMS) team is looking for an experienced Software Dev Engineer - Test to help build and operate our large-scale validation service.
The DMS service enables customers replicate data from 12 data sources, including databases such as Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server, to 15 different data targets, including PostgreSQL, S3 and Kafka, in near real time.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the quality of the products they ship. You should be self-driven to achieve the defined business goals, while working closely with other engineers in the organization to address quality and reliability problems in the product.
You will hold a central role in the team, driving the validation of the product. You will work with other software engineers and database engineers to author and update test content in our system. You will be responsible for managing and reporting the test results for the overall system and helping the team evaluate the quality of the product.
You will have the opportunity to work on data reporting and analytics to help identify patterns of problems in the system. You will also have an opportunity to investigate problems in the product, including correctness and performance issues, and help your peers resolve those issues.
Previous experience working with large scale validation systems for databases or storage systems is a requirement for this role.
