The Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) owns Amazon’s global inventory planning and fulfillment systems. SCOT decides what, when, who, where, and how much inventory to buy in order to meet customer needs as well as Amazon’s business goals. SCOT optimizes vendor facing products, policies and plans to help our Customers get what they need, as fast as possible. Within SCOT, Amazon’s Optimal Sourcing Systems (OSS) team is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Product Manager - Technical to manage new products and tools to improve supply availability. The team works with several vendor inputs/constraints and other SCOT systems to translate an optimal plan into real world execution. The objective is to better serve our customers, improve the efficiency of the network, and to position Amazon as a preferred partner for our suppliers.

As a Senior Product Manager in this space, you will be responsible for maximizing supply availability by improving supplier facing systems, products and policies that power our upstream supply chain. As a technical leader, you’ll need to be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into workable solutions that scale both technologically and operationally. You will be responsible for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.

· You will be a technical problem solver on the team, anticipating bottlenecks and escalations, and proposing innovative solutions. You need to be constantly striving for simplicity, and at the same time demonstrate significant creativity, innovation and judgment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Computer Science.
· 5+ years of experience in planning, delivering results on complex technical products or services.
· Proficiency in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups) and SQL.
· Strong quantitative analysis skills; ability to dive deep and use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and decisions.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.
· Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience in supply chain, supplier performance, or consulting.
