The Storefront Automation team is part of the Prime Video Personalization organization. Our vision is to empower Amazonians in delivering Earths most customer-centric video experience and increasing customer engagement by building products that automate all storefront merchandising and scale Prime Videos service expansion Within this space, our team aims to increase experimentation for content discovery by automating all repetitive manual work to build and maintain content discovery experiences. Our vision is to fully automate creation, experimentation, and validation of the Amazon Video storefront that will ultimately make merchandising optional. Its a big goal and well need to invent solutions along the way.
Our systems consists of high performance, low-latency web services that power the top marketing placements across all of PVs devices. Our platforms are built using cutting edge technology including API gateway, Lambdas, S3, Dynamo DB, Elastic MapReduce and Kinesis. Our teams embrace agile methodologies with a focus on test automation and continuous deployment.
The team is seeking a talented and passionate Software Development Engineer to join our team. A successful candidate will have a strong technical ability, great communication skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, great analytical reasoning skills, and, of course, a passion for TV and movies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
