Description:
The Director of Property Taxation is responsible for nationwide Property Tax Programs for Tenet Healthcare.
* Review & Challenge real & personal property tax assessments, up & through the Court System
* Hire, manage & oversee Property Tax Consultants, Attorneys and appraisers
* Review & approve all Business Personal Property filings and all property tax payments
* Prepare Quarterly Performance reports for Tenet Management of the Property Tax Department
* Perform Due Diligence as required for Tenet acquisitions
* Prepare property tax budgets nationwide
* Explore and obtain property tax abatements for new acquisitions & significant hospital expansions
* Oversee the Unclaimed Property recovery efforts of Tenet through Tenets Consultant, RYAN
* Represent Tenet at The California Taxpayers Association
* Provide property tax research assistance for all Tenet Hospitals, Corporate & regional offices, Tax Assessors, Tax Collectors, Consultants, Attorneys & Appraisers
* Supervise the Property Tax Coordinator
* Oversee property tax audits & several special projects
Qualifications:
* Minimum of Bachelors degree, Masters preferred
* 10+ years of experience in property tax management or comparable Public Accounting
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
