Under moderate supervision, establish data file transmissions in accordance with Information Technology (IT) Production Control Standards and Procedures. Collaborate with data file transfer customers where appropriate. Independently and consistently demonstrate the ability to apply technical knowledge relating to a basic understanding of network technologies and a moderate understanding of internet technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support transmission requests by collaborating with other departments and related personnel.
2. Provide project support for the function (e.g. attend meetings and coordinate communications of functional responsibilities).
3. Serve in a supportive role in problem identification, escalation, and resolution in the production and test environments.
4. Assist with training for less-experienced team members on all supported transmission tools and custom automation.
5. Serve in a supportive role in the development, documentation and execution of disaster recovery plan for data transmission.
6. Provide 24x7 on-call availability for supported infrastructure.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Associates degree in Information Technology-related curriculum, or equivalent education and related training
2. Three years of related experience
3. Moderate understanding of Internet technologies (e.g. Secure Shell (SSH), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), digital certificate, web servers, Servlet engine)
4. Demonstrated understanding of applied enterprise computing technology
5. Knowledge of data flow, mainframe/client server systems, problem analysis and systems tuning
6. Experience with multiple programming/script languages and able to develop systems and program interfaces
7. Resourcefulness in multi-tasking, anticipating needs, developing creative solutions and researching/synthesizing information to resolve problems
8. Capacity to acquire complex technical concepts through training and self-study
9. Good interpersonal and communication skills
