A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams. Job Description Position Summary:

Work with the field operating companies to help identify opportunities for profitable sales and customer growth. Deliver product and sales skills training to sales and procurement associates to enable success. Build business relationships that position Performance Foodservice as a value-creating supplier and partner to both customers and vendors, positioning Performance Foodservice as the preferred supplier in the market.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

* Builds customer loyalties trust by becoming a true partner in their business. The partnering is done by menu redesign, employee training and development of promotion and merchandising programs. While contributing to controlled brand sales, customer training, advertising, promotions, food shows, brand product selection, customer events and profitability
* Conducts in-house training seminars.
* Writes training materials for customers.
* Conducts training for customers on many different topics.
* Increases expertise of cooking related activities and ideas.
* Serves as business consultant for customers in an effort to build customer loyalty and promote sales.
* Performs competitive brand product cuttings.
* Guides local supplier and broker support in proper communication of brands.
* Gathers brands feedback from sales and operators and communicate to PFG Richmond.
* Identifies potential significant users of Brand items and conducts presentations to the customers.
* Communicates quality issues and/or competitive product information.
* Works with sales, marketing and purchasing to maintain proper SKU balance of products while focusing efforts to grow branded sales.
* Provides consultative services that develops long term business relationships.
* Designs customer menus.
* Develops new ideas for customers.
* Evaluates customer service through observations.
* Cooks for special customer events.
* Evaluates food and labor costs savings through observation.
* Manages company, food industry and customer information in a confidential manner.
* Successfully implements the Brand advertising program as measured by favorable company financial performance

Required Qualifications High School Education/GED

3-5 years minimum sales/customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Business/Marketing

B2B sales experience and proven track record, including account management.

Training experience highly desired.
