Job Description Responsible for the care and handling of live lobsters from receiving to shipment.
Sorting and grading received live lobsters for placement in lobster tank
Maintain water integrity, rotation, and quality of lobsters while waiting to be shipped.
Opens product cases, removes contents and rotates dated stock items as directed.
Responsible for the preparation, processing and packaging of product.
Prepares work area to ensure efficient operations.
Assembles boxes, packs, labels and seals boxes.
Stacks full boxes on pallets for shipping as assigned.
Work schedules may vary based on type of product work assignments.
Requires working in a cold, wet environment.
The position functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Reviews production schedule, performs safety checks on equipment and obtains supplies required to perform work.
Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.
Before, during and after assigned work shifts, secures all equipment, completes all cleaning duties and completes all required paperwork including HACCP and SQF, as assigned.
Follows all safety practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) per company policy. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience. Required Experience: 0 - 3 Months of experience in Food production, processing, manufacturing and/or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience: 1 - 3 years warehouse and or food production work experience or related experience. Experience working in a refrigerated area.
