We are searching for an innovative professional with experience in food industry R&D.
Accountabilities:

1. Define and declare formulation best practices, ingredients, or toolkits and incent Flavor Houses to adopt.
2. Drive strategy for Ingredient Harmonization and development of PepsiCo Proprietary Tool-Box of Ingredients.
3. Co- deliver against mandated needs (human sustainability and productivity) for seasoning formula.
4. Support market growth with affordable seasoning solutions in Emerging Markets.
5. Collaborate with D&A (Discovery & Application) team and wider function to act as SME on seasoning formulation
6. Lead team efforts to integrate best in class D&A solutions - Link D&A agenda to a wide project portfolio related to global food brands in an CPG environment where the priorities are constantly evolving at a fast pace (including brands like Lays, Doritos, & Cheetos)
7. Organize and lead pilot studies to create demo samples and flavor prototypes
8. Demonstrate an understanding of consumer product testing, sensory and analytical testing to deliver superior products to the market.
9. Work cross-functionally with PepsiCos global teams, to drive flavor/seasoning solutions and technical capability building activities.
10. Leverage internal/external analytical & sensory partners to qualify/quantify taste & volatile profiles, and to define seasoning material properties
11. Effectively manage multiple projects and collaborative partnerships
12. Must be able to communicate with external vendors on seasoning and flavor materials under appropriate confidentiality

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:
BS/MS in Food Technology or related discipline or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of previous experience in seasoning creation and design savory focus is essential.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CPG R&D or product development roles is also desired.
Creative thinker able to re-evaluate existing approaches and propose new approaches to flavor application
Passion for creativity and innovation within a commercially driven environment
Excellent collaborator and influencer, building sustainable strategic relationships both internally and externally.
Results-oriented with the ability to manage, balance and prioritize multiple project initiatives in order to meet business objectives
Contribute to and foster a technically focused and creative environment to build PepsiCo's competitive advantage
Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement of products and processes and demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail
Basic analytical skills to interpret data and distil into meaningful information e.g. interpreting consumer insights, experimental design and statistical inference
