Front-end Software Architect

Oracle's Global Business Units (GBUs) provide best-in-class products and services to the communications, construction and engineering, food and beverage, financial services and insurance, health sciences, hospitality, public sector, and retail industries.

The GBU Application Engineering Services team defines, builds and supports common User Interface (UI) frameworks and components that our GBUs use to deliver their products and services.

We need a talented, multi-faceted Front-End Architect who has the vision and expertise to collaboratively lead front-end (web, desktop, tablet, and phone) architecture activities and help teams migrate to modern architectures. Specifically, you will be responsible for defining and promoting common front-end development frameworks, tech stack transition approaches, and integration strategies that accelerate application development and enhance the developer experience for GBU development teams around the world.

Your work will vary from day to day. In a typical month you might -
- Research and define front-end architectures
- Collaborate with GBU architects
- Brainstorm with individual development teams
- Meet with internal technology providers
- Develop cross-organization communities
- Prototype development tooling and approaches
- Present to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Previous Experience
- 12+ years of front-end development experience.
- 4+ years as a front-end architect or similar role.
- Ability to lead teams in framing and solving difficult problems.
- Ability to work efficiently on several initiatives and projects at once, often with ambiguity and varying timelines.
- Ability to produce enterprise software architecture and designs that can be implemented by other teams.
- Extensive experience with: Javascript, modern Javascript based frameworks (React, Angular, Oracle JET, etc.), Web Components, JSON, REST, and test driven development tooling.
- Experience with cloud native micro-services and micro-frontend architectures and associated development / deployment workflows.
- Extensive experience developing enterprise or consumer front-end applications services in a cloud environment.
- Experience defining, writing and supporting reusable and maintainable UI components and API's.
- Ability to produce software architecture and designs that can be implemented by other teams.
- Ability to architect highly available and scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Create new architecture for a moderate size product or a portion of a major product. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary consultant on large projects that effect the organization*s long term objectives / strategy. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Colorado Pay Range: From %24144,932 to %24260,881 per annum
Eligible for bonus, equity and compensation deferral
