Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking Quality Engineering Manager 1 to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities:

* Assures compliance in program quality, risk management, process improvement, subcontractor and supplier quality in accordance with contractual requirements.
* Monitors quality metrics, corrective action boards, and program audit metrics and processes
* Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program quality performance and risks
* Presents metrics to executive leadership and the customer on regular basis
* Frequent interface with executives and customer representatives, including on-site DCMA representatives, concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications
* Promotes the professional development of the quality engineering workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor rsquo;s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 5 years of quality/mission assurance and/or program management experience
* Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
* Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
* Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced STEM degree
* Demonstrated hardware and software engineering experience
* Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience
