Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
Essential Functions:
* Develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company 39;s system architecture standards
* Establishes and documents system parameters and formats
* Ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities
* Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies
* Maintains more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
* Experience working in development teams and multiple technical work-streams
* Develops Business Applications and Project Visibility components such as user interfaces, automated workflows, data repositories, charts and dashboards
Candidate should be highly motivated with a strong passion for problem solving and innovation and the ability to provide complex solutions with limited direction.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of software engineering experience OR a Master 39;s degree in STEM
* Experience with the design, development, and implementation of Windows based desktop applications
* Experience with front end development using HTML/CSS, ASP.NET, and/or XML/XAML
* Experience with back end development using C
* Experience with SQL databases
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science
* Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Java, Telerik, Git, and/or Python
* Experience developing rich, web based user interfaces
* Experience building and managing enterprise grade systems software using Agile methodology
* Strong conceptual skills and ability to apply rapid prototyping techniques
