JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, U.S. and Canada Benefits Administration, the Benefits Analyst under general supervision, provides technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs to ensure smooth administration of group plans for a fast-paced, large, best-in-class organization. Manages assigned projects, engaging internal and external resources to ensure timely completion. Serves as subject matter expert for administration of health, welfare and retirement plans. This exciting and important role will be integral in providing support to the benefits delivery team and also to the benefit strategy team as required.
This role is currently based in Dallas, TX. In 2022, this role will be based in Richardson, TX.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the administration of the health and welfare benefit plans in accordance with plan documents, federal and state laws, to include the interpretation of benefit programs and procedures for all plans.
* May act as the department liaison with vendors to facilitate resolution of system related issues pertaining to benefits. Works with internal staff, benefits strategy team and external vendors to arrive at resolution.
* Support annual 401(k) non-discrimination testing and audit work, and weekly file reconciliation and funding. Respond to employee 401(k) inquiries.
* Respond to health & welfare related employee inquiries, research issues, and summarize trends.
* Assists with open enrollment preparation and administration of all new or revised benefit programs, including user acceptance testing.
* Prepares premium reconciliation and check requests, reports monthly headcount and cost information as needed.
* Support Leave Analyst as needed with responding to employee inquiries.
* Monitors and audits benefit enrollment data, including dependent eligibility.
* Support M&A activity during due diligence and implementation.
* Supports compliance with applicable government regulations by monitoring new requirements and recommending process changes.
* May participate in other ad-hoc projects for the administration team as well as the benefits strategy team
* May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college. Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefit plan administration, the areas of health and welfare required. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Demonstrated vendor management skills. Experience working for a health care carrier, consulting firm or insurance company is a plus. PeopleSoft experience are strongly preferred.
Knowledge of benefit regulations (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, IRS Section 125, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Project management experience a plus.

Possess ability to build collaborative relationships with teammates, third party vendors, HR business partners and all levels of employees. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse culture, including peers, management staff at corporate and in the field. Demonstrated ability to develop, present, and monitor analytical business cases and project plans.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
