Position Summary:
Provide asset protection (AP) support for retail and non-retail locations within the district (e.g., The Little Clinic, convenience stores, Fred Meyer Jewelry, Manufacturing and Logistics). Conduct internal and external investigations and provide oversight of vendors and AP specialists. Provide recommendations to supervisors concerning security and AP equipment requirements for stores and the performance of AP/security consults. Interact with law enforcement and support stores in the execution of AP strategies. Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
* Partner with district manager and coordinators to assist in the execution of business plans
* Provide asset protection support as directed by the division AP manager
* Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings to appropriate stakeholders
* Analyze asset protection functionality of stores and partner with management and associates to remedy deficiencies
* Analyze store security needs and deploy resources (e.g., uniformed guard, AP specialist); supervise to ensure effectiveness
* Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of all division and corporate asset protection related programs and strategies
* Represent the companys interests with local, state and federal law enforcement
* Be point of contact for district store management and associates for asset protection related needs (e.g., training, investigations, asset protection equipment needs and repairs, security officers and AP specialists)
* Assist in ensuring vendors install AP equipment to company standards in new/remodeled stores
* Support adherence of company best practices as directed by division AP manager
* Testify on behalf of the company in hearings and court actions
* Maintain on-call availability after hours and on weekends to provide direction and response to critical events
* Travel to stores regularly to ensure execution of AP initiatives; maintain availability after hours and on weekends
* Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports

Minimum Position Qualifications:
* 2+ years multi-store format retail AP managerial experience
* Success multi-tasking and handling diverse situations; ability to work independently and detail oriented
* Sound judgment/problem solving and decision making skills
* Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
* Success supporting a diverse team of AP professionals in implementation of business-centric strategies
* High degree of initiative and motivation, integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
* Working knowledge of CCTV, alarm, access control and locking systems
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desired Previous Job Experience and Certification:
* Wicklander certification
* Bachelors degree
* Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) certification
