JOB OVERVIEW: Ensure compliance with Corporate, Division, and Plant policies for general accounting, inventory valuation, and effective internal controls. Act as a strong business partner to the Renton operations in help

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Prepare and review account analysis and reconciliations for all inventory accounts.
Prepare, review and analyze monthly journal entries as assigned.
Meet with department managers and assist in the preparation and review of factory overhead budgets and forecast, including variance analysis to actuals.
Assist in the monthly forecasting process for areas assigned.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews of key reports prepared by staff and distributed to core leadership at the plant and at Division.
Manage all intercompany transactions for inventory transfers.
Manage the Non-conforming part (NCP) Admin fee and invoicing process.
Perform monthly and semi-annual reviews for Surplus and Obsolete inventory, including monthly journal entries and account reconciliation, and review and analysis of semi-annual S&O declaration.
Perform annual SOX/ICAP testing as assigned.
Organize, coordinate and lead semi-annual interim inventory counts and reconciliations of major inventory categories.
Organize, coordinate and lead annual factor studies including but not limited to: hose, kitting, hardware, FOG, paint, inbound freight, etc.
Complete other general accounting reporting including but not limited to: Quarterly Census Capacity surveys, Corporate Tax requests, Corporate RFIs and 1099 reporting.
Train, develop and retain a well-qualified staff through recruitment, coaching and development activities as needed.
Assist with periodic inventories and other team oriented projects to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
Ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting (MBA/CMA/CPA desired) with 5+ years experience in Accounting, including supervisory experience.
Must have demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and team player attitude.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet internal deadlines.
Ability to learn quickly and deal with ambiguity.
High standard for quality and accuracy, with a continuous improvement mindset.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

BS/BA Accounting Degree
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong PC Skills (excel, access, tableau, etc.)
Strong communication skills
