The Azure UX team is looking for a quantitative UX researcher to help shape the user experience for Azure - the world's computer. You will join a fast-paced, growing, and passionate team. Your research will help our multi-disciplinary team deliver customer-centric, elegant solutions for complex scenarios with high business impact. Our team is part of a larger design studio at Microsoft called the C+AI Design Studios which is reshaping the digital experiences for modern cloud-based applications and services. Our team's mission is to improve, iterate and innovate on Azure's user experiences in order to further empower our developer and enterprise customers to achieve more.

* Understand and translate business and product goals into quantitative UX goals and metrics.
* Collaborate with designers, program managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to create high-impact research plans.
* Conduct research throughout the product development cycle as needed, using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods.
* Leverage research insights to advocate for customers throughout the product cycle and influence product direction.
* Present and communicate your research findings in clear and compelling ways to influence design and product direction.
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or related field.
* 3+ years conducting experimental research on software products and driving tangible outcomes with product teams. Enterprise experience a plus.
* Knowledge of qualitative, quantitative and user-centered research methods (e.g., interviewing, ethnography, surveys, co-design, concept-testing, etc.)
* Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
* Excellent working knowledge of statistics and the principles of experiment design.
* Experience working with large-scale data in multi-method studies
* Track record of collaborating across multiple disciplines (design, engineering) to drive change into products.
* Proven ability to work within tight timelines and with excellent project management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate rich customer data and articulate the implications of research findings in clear and compelling ways.
* Strong oral and written communication skills; experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
