UXD TEAM OVERVIEW

Our design team brings to life a unified enterprise digital platform that supports multiple specialty retail brands, geographies and partners. The products and capabilities we deliver enable Victoria's Secret and PINK to significantly accelerate global digital growth. Through a variety of methodologies, we support product teams that build configurable features and capabilities that can be utilized to continually drive an enhanced end user experience and greater business performance. We are able to do this by:

* Understanding the motivations and needs of the customers of the tenants of our platform-- inclusive of Victoria's Secret and PINK--and building design solutions that best serve them
* Collaborating with enterprise partners to create technology, capabilities, and processes that allow for efficient set-up, monitoring, and management of their digital experiences
* Advocating for the learnability, efficiency, memorability, and desirability of new or enhanced features and functionality across the breadth of the user journey--both for enterprise partners and their customers
* Operating within a Lean/Agile development process that allows us to launch and learn quickly

In addition, how we build solutions is as equally important to what we build. Designers are expected to advocate for, and design within, a systems-based methodology that allows for configurability, customization, and specialization of re-usable components that enables tenants to deliver unique experiences for their customers that benefit from the scalability and quality of those vetted components.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The driving vision for the Shop Group is Enable our brands. Excite our customers. In practice, this translates into obsessing over the customer journey and how to better support users in achieving their goals and delivering the right capabilities and experiences for the brands we support on e-commerce platform. From homepage to when a customer chooses to add product to bag, the Shop Group strives to deliver a holistic, simple, and thoughtful commerce experiences.

UX Designers supporting the Shop Group are crucial strategic partners in identifying customer and business opportunities and designing scalable features and capabilities to deliver on that value. Designers leverage research, industry best practices, critique, usability, and testing to validate their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inclusive of, but not limited to:

* Drive continuous product improvements by researching and rapidly designing iterative functional solutions to enhance the user experience leveraging our design principles, standards and best practices
* Structure and lead collaborative working sessions with cross-functional partners and other product partners to identify and define what problems your product is trying to solve and how best to solve them
* Use, contribute to, and advocate for a systems-based design methodology that is designed to support multi-tenant implementations of solutions
* Support user research and testing by gathering assumptions and writing hypotheses, contributing to questions and scenarios for tests with the Research team, and observe sessions to help extract key learns for both your area of focus and the user journey at large
* Access, understand, and utilize site data and metrics to help validate the success of an implemented design and to inform new solutions
* Work side-by-side with Front End Development and Back End Development to build and validate all visual/functional enhancements
* Present solutions to cross-functional and brand partners, clearly articulating the UX design principles and methodologies that informs the work
* Participate in our annual North Star process and roadmap development with your product team to ensure strategic direction is aligned to user needs and design best practices
* Give back to the design team by being engaged in critiques, sharing new learnings and case studies to our team blog, and by challenging existing processes with new ways for the team to be more effective

Qualifications

* Passionate advocate for the end-user
* UI, visual design, and interaction design expertise
* Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, user-friendly experiences
* Sophisticated sense of visual design/style
* Working understanding of e-commerce and usability best practices
* Collaborative, inclusive and flexible team member
* Highly-organized with extreme attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Positive, constructive approach

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human Computer Interactions, or equivalent experience
* 1-3 years of product design experience
* Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Framer, Invision, Invision Studio, and appropriate Adobe software
* Understanding of the capabilities and best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Retail/fashion brand experience desired; e-commerce experience ideal
* Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
