Use your wireless/RF engineering skills and experience to design and develop wireless products within Honeywell Buildings and Technology. Key Responsibilities
* Define & Create Wireless hardware Roadmaps and Strategies across HBT
* Understanding and mapping of system requirements to HW architecture to ensure development of state-of-the-art design covering all aspects of the system including functionality, performance, power, latency, and debuggability
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure architecture meets the end-to-end system requirements
* Conducting internal/external Wireless system design reviews
* Leading and working with cross-functional teams on new technology deployment
* Develop detailed wireless system architecture and design documentation
* Interact with internal and external engineering teams
YOU MUST HAVE
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years experience with wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, IEEE 802.11ad/ay or Bluetooth/BLE.
* Minimum 3 years experience defining RF architectures, creating link budgets and performing system-level gain/distortion analysis

* Good understanding of the KPIs (performance, power, latency, etc.) of wireless SoCs and efficient HW architectures to achieve the best result.
* Ability to develop detailed system architecture and design documentation.
* Ability to work independently, as well as direct and coordinate work of multi-disciplinary engineering teams to assure the successful development of RF systems and assemblies
* Understanding of the critical performance characteristics of passive and active RF components such as Amplifiers, Oscillators, Attenuators, Mixers and Filters. An understanding of how these characteristics relate to a communication system's performance
* Experience with a 3-D RF modeling/simulation tool such as CST Microwave Studio or HFSS
* Knowledge of S-parameters (matching networks, cascade analysis, ), Gain budget analysis (Gain, NF, Linearity, Noise power, ), and Filtering (types, bandwidth, implementations, )
* A strong understanding of noise figure/noise temperature (BER vs. noise, receiver sensitivity, and expected value and variance), temperature effects, interconnection (standard and non-standard impedances), and isolation requirements
* Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems
* Theoretical background in electro-magnetic (EM) and RF/microwave theory
* Good understanding of communication theory and signal processing algorithms.
* Good understanding of digital design and architecture principles.
* Ability to work well across cross-functional teams including digital, radio, verification, and FW teams
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Knowledge of IoT device to cloud communication and cyber security
* Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
* Wide degree of creativity and latitude
* Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
* Experience with agency certification, FCC, CE, CCC, PTCRB and GCF
* Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
