JOB DESCRIPTION

The ServiceNow Foundations Process Owner leads activities ensuring the creation, adoption, and improvement of assigned ITIL processes and foundational data supporting ServiceNow platform. This position owns the definition of process goals, aligning those goals to both HCA Healthcares strategy and industry best practices, and promoting them to business, IT leaders, and other stakeholders. The Foundations Process Owner will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design, implement and manage ServiceNow platform processes within the organization. Operational responsibilities include, end-to-end ownership of one or more ServiceNow foundation processes, creating requirements for implementation of processes, and serving as a subject matter expert to determine the execution path.

The Foundations Process Owner will interact and collaborate with IT support from all HCA Healthcare divisions, users from supported hospitals, representatives from the HCA Healthcare division service desks and shared service centers, vendor representatives and other HCA Healthcare corporate departments and leadership to ensure expected value is realized.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Foundation Process owner will be responsible for accuracy and maintenance of all foundation data and data source integration on the ServiceNow platform. Foundation data is all company, division, market, cost center, user, groups, location, etc. needed to support the functions of ServiceNow platform: ITSM, CSM, EM, HR, Marketing, APM, etc.

The Foundation Process owner will also be responsible for all integrations with 3rd party and other divisions and partners of HCA Healthcare. The types of integration may be one way (push/pull) or bi-directional and may include CMDB CI data, ITSM (INC, Change, Request, Problem, Major Incident, etc.) and Event Management alerts and events. This position will maintain an accurate list of integration, type of integration, data transfer and all other information related to the integration.

The Foundation Process owner will own the process and documentation for all integrations of data sources which will be the source of record. Foundation Process owner will work closely with architects (platform, data and infrastructure) and drive process improvements and standards to ensure all foundation data is accurately maintained in the ServiceNow platform.

End-to-end ownership of ServiceNow platform Foundation Processes (Design, Implement, and Execute of Integrations from various data sources both on premise and the public cloud)

Owns, creates, and maintains assigned process documentation

Owns, creates, and maintains end-user training for assigned processes

Provides expertise in process design, including elicitation and prioritization of business requirements

Holds Enterprise accountable for following defined processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance, and escalates when variances are identified

Identifies Process Improvement Opportunities and develops plan(s) to implement; continuously strives to increase process maturity, efficiencies, and effectiveness.

Understands administrative functionalities of the ServiceNow platform and their impact on process workflows

Reviews and presents enhancement or change proposals to the Governance committee

Assists in prioritization of work requests for the platform Development team

Communicates with end users and other stakeholders through multiple channels

Implements and Facilitates User Review Groups

Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and focus on quick and effective problem resolution.

Investigates and troubleshoots application issues, performs root cause analysis and works with the team to recommend and implement solutions.

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree - Preferred

EXPERIENCE

Five or more years experience in ServiceNow / CMBD

One or more years experience in a Leadership role Preferred

LICENSES, CERTIFCATIONS & TRAINING

IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification- Required

OTHER QUALIFACTIONS

Understanding of technical aspects of integration, different types of integrations and industry best practices

Ability to write requirements document for integrations and ability to communicate those requirements with development team for implementation

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, including the ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels of the enterprise in a cooperative and effective manner, in a variety of media and formats

Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills to consistently achieve win-win results

Understanding of industry best practices for foundation data and integrations
