JOB DESCRIPTION
GDIT is seeking a professional, energetic, and reliable Cloud Solutions Architect to join the GDIT/ARMA-GLOBAL Team. Under general supervision, the individual will be responsible for the design of scalable, elastic, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures within one or more Commercial Cloud Service provider. Assist in the migrations of legacy on-premises services leveraging established and well-accepted design patterns. Identify and implement solutions to support the accreditation of environments to meet compliance requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* 8+ years related IT systems experience/exposure AND Bachelors Degree REQUIRED
* 2+ years of demonstrable cloud experience (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, etc.) REQUIRED
* Advanced knowledgeof eitherthe Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
* Strong understanding of the Red Hat EnterpriseLinux or Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
* Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the cloud service provider via the command line interface.
* Experience with one or more products from industry technology partners such as DataDog, New Relic, Trend Micro, Sophos, Splunk, evident.io, and others.
* Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
* Exposureto automation enginessuch as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or Salt with either theMicrosoft Windows Operation System or with Linux-based distros.
* Some degree of experience working withone or morecommon programming languages suchas Python, Ruby, or Java.
* Experience using issue tracking tools such as Jira, GitHub, Redmine, Bugzilla, Team Foundations, or similar.
* Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Docker, etc.)
* Self-motivating and have the ability to work independently when necessary, but able to work with other on team projects.
* Understanding ofAgile Software Development and have used either Kanban or scrum-based scheduling.
* Confidence in configuring and maintaining of a variety ofvarious frameworks and applications such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, .NET, Apache, Nginx, IIS,PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, or similar.

* Must have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI (TS/SCI)
Certification Requirements
* DoD 8570 IAT-2 or higher (Sec+ CE or higher) compliance required
* AWS Associate or Professional Certification required (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)

* Bachelor's Degree in related IT discipline OR Equivalent years' experience
