Product Operations Engineer - New Product Introduction

When Dell Technologies launches new game-changing products into the global market, Product Operations Engineering has a vital role to play. The team coordinates all the operational activities that enable products to be introduced and sustained successfully. Its about making sure there is consistency between production and test environments. Its about ensuring hardware, software and networking changes are migrated into the production environment in a stable and controlled way. And its about creating build processes, coordinating product builds for release into production and setting up configuration specifications for releases.

What youll achieve
You will work on a Cross Functional Team leading New Product Introductions / Sustaining, Product Management for Desktops products. Leads a cross-functional Regional Extended Team.

Provides plan to support and resolves factory engineering issues.

Responsibilities

Creates factory strategies and plans for Worldwide Operations based on product plans and roadmaps

Utilizes metrics to improve new production, introduction process and product quality, at launch and throughout life of the program

Leads Engineering Change Management across product life cycles at regional Level.

Interfaces with, core team (GOE) and lead regional extended team for sustaining activities.

Acts as subject matter expert on Excursion Management at fulfillment facilities.

Essential Requirements

5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelors degree; or 3+ years with a Masters degree-Drives process and quality improvement;

Good understanding of global computer products and the peripherals industry;

Demonstrated ability to drive action plans/strategies to reduce overall manufacturing transformation cost, cycle time and improve quality

Effective verbal, written and presentation skills

Ability to multi-task and program / project manage multiple projects / manufacturing related issues

Knowledge and application of engineering concepts

Desirable Requirements

Demonstrated ability to speak and write Spanish
