The Sr Chief of Staff function is a critical part of the ETS Business Office. The Sr Chief of Staff is responsible to financial and resource management, Risk & Control and overall logistical support of the group to which they are assigned. The role is delivered through maintaining a robust knowledge base of the groups work and the environment in which it operates business and regulatory, preparing management updates and engaging with portfolio Program Managers on an ongoing basis.
The successful candidate will become the confidant of a senior technology manager, and manage all aspects of the technology book of work other than actual delivery. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing budget, resource plan, resource and location strategy, Risk & Control, and the groups ongoing work and relationship with Internal Audit, as well as many ad-hoc requests as may be needed.
Responsibilities include reporting on the status of portfolio financials, resource strategy, program tracking, and compliance items. COS needs to be familiar and understand current risks, issues and dependencies and communicate them to SMT proactively. Must be able to interpret technology status or issues and communicate and translate into well written business updates. Individual should be goal oriented, comfortable navigating in a large organization, have excellent communication skills, and be able to influence other managers in providing quality status updates.
Responsibilities
* Manage book of work financials ensure that the annual target is met and that financial resources are consumed per CTO guidelines.
* Execute the book of work resource and location strategy, in adherence to the overall strategy adopted by ETS.
* Coordinate updates to strategic initiatives for risk and issues reporting; create and maintain repeatable process for collecting and distributing information. Develop and enforce standards that drive the organization to meeting its target state strategic goals
* Identify and track regulatory commitments across the portfolio
* Understand any Risk & Control exceptions, and track them to closure in a timely fashion.
* Experience working with audit team and coordinating large audits (within the audited party) desired.
* Understand the budget process and provide detailed research and analysis on financial impacts from committed deliverables; respond to executive tasks with immediate attention and short turn-around time frames
* Must be able to interpret technology status or issues and communicate and translate into well written business updates for senior management.

Qualifications / Requirements
* 6+ years work experience in Resource Planning & Strategy, experience managing a budget is a must
* 6+ years experience in Technology
* 4+ years experience in Management Consulting and/or IT Strategy & Operations; Senior executive presence; Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
* 4+ years experience in Technical legal contracts and preparing effective presentations. Must have advanced skills in managing large data files including metrics
* Strong relationship management skills, project management, and organizational skills
* Financial Services Business Knowledge. Experience in Risk is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or management information systems or equivalent work experience
