Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an experienced F18 Growler Structures Mechanic

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

* Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.

* Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

* Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

* Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.

* Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).

* Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

* Works under general direction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

* This position requires an active Interim Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

* Minimum of 3 years' aircraft modification maintenance experience

* Minimum of 3 years' experience with modification and or sustainment pertaining to military aircraft

* Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance or support role on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, T-45, A/V-8B, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15) and or commercial platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

* FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.

* Experience with PPG paint and glossy paint for C-17, F-18, KC-135, KC-10, VC-25

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
