Summary:
Responsible for service supply chain planning for US, Canada with support to Latin America. Lead a team of spare parts planners who execute planning and purchasing processes. Provides leadership and executes strategic direction through management of planning activities, processes, and data/information and systems. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that optimize inventory turns, service levels, maximize profitability, and support dynamic changes in market conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Seek to improve all aspects of the spare parts supply chain processes, tools and policies.
* Develops, implements, and executes strategic materials management processes in support of supply chain and business objectives.
* Maintain strong relationship with suppliers to optimize performance, resolve issues and develop improvement strategies to sustain Best in Class performance
* Maintain strong relationship with Procurement teams to optimize inventory costs.
* Leverage IT and analytical tools and resources to lead S&OP reviews and address issues and opportunities requiring decision making in support of goals and objectives.
* Accountable for optimizing inventory turns - minimize excess & obsolete inventory through product life cycle management.
* Accountable for maximizing service levels, in conjunction with inventory goals, through distribution requirement planning and deployments
* Lead and facilitate cross functional teams in support of strategic initiatives both within the supply chain organization and across the business units.
* Responsible to provide management with inventory projections and proactively identifies service level issues.
* Works with order management, sales & marketing, product managers, manufacturing, suppliers, distribution centers and third party logistics provider in support of business objectives.
* Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :

Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelors degree in Operations/Logistics or similar degree. MBA preferred.
* 5 - 7 years related experience.
* APICS certification preferred.
