Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to drive the downstream marketing activities for multiple laboratory testing and supplies portfolios/solutions. This marketing manager will help facilitate the achievement of the Laboratory Products revenue, profit and marketing objectives by driving increased engagement within defined portfolios and offerings. This person will work collaboratively with product management, field sales, supplier partners, data & analytics, legal and enterprise marketing on the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and tactics that drive profitable growth.

Marketing Manager, Laboratory Testing & Supplies Accountabilities

In this role, you are responsible for the downstream marketing activities for multiple laboratory testing and supplies portfolios for the Lab business. You will collaborate and partner with product managers on defining marketing plans but will have direct responsibility for implementing marketing programs that increase awareness and drive demand. Specific accountabilities include:

* Demonstrates knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building business and marketing plans. This includes an understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels.

* Identifies and remains current on market trends. Determines implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success.

* Responsible for developing, implementing and executing portfolio marketing plans for target markets/segments in order to gain net new customers as well as retain and increase share of wallet with existing ones.

* Exhibits an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business.

* Support product lifecycle management and profitability targets through the development of integrated marketing campaigns inclusive of message development and competitive positioning. Work cross-functionally to plan, develop and implement promotional campaigns and various forms of marketing collateral. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs.

* Collaborate with product managers and suppliers on message development, targeting and segmentation of key product campaigns.

* Understands methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio/ product decisions. Can identify market opportunities through VOC/secondary research and takes action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customer needs.

* Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment.

* Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to sales, enterprise marketing, finance, and business analytics.

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

* 4+ years marketing experience in related field, preferred.
