Job Description
Under general supervision/direction, provide performance support for the Chief Customer Officer Organization. Responsible for providing consistent reporting, analysis, and peer benchmarking for the seven operating companies on key operational measures in the distribution and customer service businesses. These include areas of focus such as safety, reliability, workforce productivity, customer satisfaction, delinquencies and uncollectibles. The team also provides financial and business case expertise, as well as analysis in support of the operating companies. Lastly, the group provides project management and/or facilitation support to large strategic projects that cross multiple companies. This work will be complex in nature; this is the journey level position in the job family.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:

1) Monitor progress towards goal achievement and provide regular reports, with root cause analyses as required, to management.

2) Develop and monitor business unit operational measures regarding safety, human performance, reliability, customer experience/satisfaction, workforce planning/productivity, etc.

3) Analyze data and process flows to determine performance of existing business unit processes; recommend and implement process improvement initiatives when applicable.

4) Provide historical data and analyses for jurisdictional Regulatory Rate Cases including RFIs, Interrogatories, and other required filings including ongoing periodic updates.

5) Provide data and analyses in response to requests from other Federal, State and local Governmental authorities in coordination with AEP Legal, Regulatory and Accounting personnel.

6) Provide data and analyses in response to operational reviews/performance statistics requested by AEP Management including ongoing periodic updates.

7) Investigate and implement automated methods for measurements of business processes.

8) Act as a liaison for business unit employees and corporate business units regarding contractor contract and invoicing requirements.

9) Facilitate the completion of required Sarbanes-Oxley reviews.

10) Collaborate with other business units and corporate groups, as needed, to ensure consistency in reporting and alignment with corporate goals.

11) Perform special studies, analysis, investigations, and assignments as may be required.

12) Demonstrate the highest standards of safe and ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.

Minimum Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education requirements are listed below:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, math, statistics or related field,

Work Experience requirement listed below:

Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in performance management activities or distribution operations or business analytics or process improvement.

Ability to organize and present data in a meaningful way and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Physical demand level is Sedentary

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including VBA and VbScript extensions, proficiency in SQL coding (both DB2 and Oracle) and familiarity with Data Visual Management Tools like Domo, Tableau, Cognos etc. are desirable. Advanced degree preferred but not required Some travel required.
