The MarketingData Science team, within the Card ML organization, is working to enable a revolution in marketing through the use of data science and machine learning. The vast amount of data, variety of quickly-evolving marketing channels, and hunger for analytics all intersect to make Capital One's marketing space a target-rich environment for optimization through data science and machine learning. We use a full spectrum of data science and machine learning techniques to solve unique marketing challenges, and our growing team is just scratching the surface of what we can do.

In this role, you will:

* Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love

* Oversee the building of machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation

* Flex your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals

* Supervise the use of a broad stack of technologies Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree plus 9 years of experience in data analytics, or Masters Degree plus 7 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD plus 4 years of experience in data analytics

* At least 4 years of experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis

* At least 4 years of experience with machine learning

* At least 4 years of experience with relational databases

Preferred Qualifications:

* PhD in Quantitative field (e.g. statistics, computer science, mathematics, data science)

* 5+ years of experience in data analytics / machine learning

* 5+ years of experience managing people

* 5+ years of experience in Python, Scala, or R for large scale data analysis

* 3+ years of experience building marketing mix models

* 1+ years of experience working with AWS
