Our Defense Team supports our Nations warfighters, providing, operating and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of military operations. Our efforts include development, testing, and large scale prototyping mission-critical wireline, wireless (including FirstNet), and 5G expansion solutions to the US Army. The work location for this position is Washington, DC or Tacoma, WA.
AT&T has an opening for a 5G Network Engineer to support the US Army. Will provide services related to designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, lab and field testing, and supporting 5G related applications and networks to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for users.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Member of a team.
* Reports to the AT&T JBLM 5G project manager
* Senior technical advisor to multiple projects.
* Supports testing of patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
* Supports development of Network services SOPs and knowledge management articles.
* Maintains configurations on network devices to include routers, switches, servers, and appliances.
* Troubleshoots network issues and documents resolution.
* Lead architect for design, development, and testing of network changes.
Required Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain government clearance.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree or 10 years related experience
* 5+ years of experience in mobility technologies
* 8570/8140 IAM: IAT II
* Security Cert: CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, Security + CE, SSCP
* Computer Cert: CCNP
* IT Level: IT Level I
Desired Qualifications:
* Strong people and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
* Significant experience supporting United States Army IT related enterprises.
* Experience, including analytical roles, in US military or federal IT organization
* Comfortable working with confidential /sensitive/ secret or proprietary information
* Excellent command of the English language (written and oral) and strong listening skills
