Maintenance & Reliability Planning Manager

Job Description

Ingredion is hiring a Maintenance & Reliability Planning Manager to lead a team of Maintenance & Reliability Planners in support of six manufacturing units at their Argo plant in Bedford Park, IL.

As a Planning Manager, your responsibilities will include:

* Directing the functions of a proactive Planning and Scheduling organization, including detailed multi-craft corrective job planning, building of standard Predictive and Preventative Maintenance job plans, CMMS and Master Data management, Bills of Materials management, administration of proactive schedule building, and others as required

* Providing leadership and direction for a team of Maintenance & Reliability Planners, setting goals, conducting performance dialogues, identifying training plans, reviewing job plans and meeting effectiveness, and providing coaching as necessary

* Analyzing and responding to the Key Performance Indicators of a successful Planning & Scheduling organization, including all aspects of Job Plan Accuracy (safety hazards, work scope, tool selection, cost, parts identification, etc.)

* Creating and reviewing high risk job plans to ensure an appropriate level of rigor and mitigation activities are developed and accounted for prior to plan approval and execution

* Establishing and ensuring robust work processes between planning, operations, storeroom, maintenance, and contractor craft functions

* Working with internal customers to resolve issues of planning quality, costing and job scope issues, parts identification/selection, and other issues as they arise

* Participating in, contributing to, and facilitating (as necessary) best practice sharing between Ingredion sites (monthly planning calls, tiered meetings, and mentorship)

* Providing reports to management for planning and scheduling activities as necessary

* Contributing to total planning capacity and backfilling for planner absences/vacations as needed

* Participating in and leading Root Cause Problem Elimination (RCPE) as necessary

Qualified candidates will have:

* 5+ years progressive experience in maintenance and/or reliability execution, planning, and/or management with at least 3 years in a leadership role

* Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, including shutdowns and the creation of job plans for a manufacturing environment including food, pharmaceutical, or refinery industries

* Strong knowledge of the principles of Reliability Excellence and maintenance work management

* Strong knowledge of maintenance trades in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting (millwright/mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, scaffolding, insulation, etc.)

* SAP PM experience is highly preferred, however extensive experience in Maintenance Management and Scheduling Systems, such as SAP, Maximo, Prometheus, Lube-It, Sockeye, Emerson AMS, etc. is desirable.

* Demonstrated ability to coach others to improved performance.

* Must be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to climb stairs, ladders and enter tanks. Must possess visual acuity and physical ability to support all functions of the job at all times.

* Ability to learn and apply Ingredions GMP, Quality and Safety standards.
