Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Procurement & Sourcing processes and solutions including demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the following skillsets:

* Helping companies improve operations, purchasing processes, strategic sourcing practices, and methodologies;
* Managing and sourcing direct spend common to the Industrial Products sector (e.g., Metals, Plastics, Chemicals, Rubber, Finished Components, Assemblies) and indirect spend (e.g., MRO, Facilities, Packaging, Logistics, Information Technology);
* Acting as a purchasing / commodity manager of products and/or services in a dynamic environment;
* Having working knowledge with spend analysis, development of category and commodity strategies, market analysis, RFI and RFP events, online and reverse auctions, and award scenario analyses;
* Implementing supplier management techniques, negotiation strategies and tactics, and supplier implementation transitions;
* Analysing procurement and sourcing operating models and associated process review, redesign, and implementation;
* Working with Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Relationship Management, and Digital Procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua, Jaggaer);
* Working with S2P , including process review and improvement, developing catalogs, establishing buying channels, implementing S2P technology, and enabling suppliers;
* Leading stakeholder discussions and meetings;
* Managing executive stakeholder tasks including preparation of concise, accurate documents, and balancing deliverables with the occurrence of unanticipated issues;
* Supporting business development opportunities by developing proposal materials and working with remote and cross functional team members; and,
* Identifying and addressing organizational needs with a focus on process and technology changes to procurement functions.
