The Director, Cancer Service Line is responsible for the growth and development of the Cancer Service Line.Responsible for implementation of the Cancer strategy, growth of the cancer service line and earning the business of physicians to facilitate convenient access points for patients across the Market. The Director, Cancer Service line is responsible for overseeing quality improvement activities to optimize patient outcomes and deliver a program that revolves around patient centered care. May supervise Patient Navigators related to the Cancer Service Line. Performs community outreach activities to establish the organization as a premier destination for Cancer Services that align with business strategy. Works with various stakeholder to ensure program success. Focuses on patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. Ongoing accountability for the ensuring the program meets applicable regulatory standards. Responsible for completion of business plans to support new service development and service optimization.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field, or Nursing or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Masters degree is Business Administration, Management or Healthcare related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years directing programs in a Healthcare setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3+ years experience in Cancer program development and leading Cancer care programs in a complex healthcare organization.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: CA RN, BLS, ACLS, ONS & OCN
SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to proficiently use a PC, including Microsoft Office programs.Ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization, including exective leadership, physician partners and other stakeholders
