Summary
The Registered Nurse will be able to effectively manage the care of pediatric patients in an intensive care unit. The registered nurse will coordinate total nursing care, monitor, and administer medications related to the disease process of the pediatric patient in intensive care. The registered nurse will work cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the pediatric intensive care clinical setting

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current state registration or eligibility to do so.
CPR/BLS
PALS for experienced pediatric critical care RNs. ACLS preferred.
RNs with more than 1 year of experience should obtain certification within 6 months of employment. New RN/GN, PALS within 12 months of hire.
TNCC or ATCN All RNs should obtain certification within 18 months of employment.
