As a Machine Operator, you will manufacture high quality rolled out goods efficiently for the purpose of making polishing pads to meet customer demand.
The position requires the flexibility and willingness to work one of the following shift options:
* Night Shift 12-Hour (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
* 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:00pm)
* 3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:00am)
* Flexibility to train on day hours is a plus
Your key responsibilities:
* Operate machinery including sanding buffers, a splitter, and embosser. Also, specialty instrumentation including microscopes and other test devices for quality control of the product.
* Wearing different types of PPE such as but not limited to: respirators, gloves, safety shoes, and approved safety glasses
* Manufactures parts with all safety, quality and production best practices and requirements
* Operate industrial machinery and metrology measurement systems
* Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary
* Use computer for data entry, SOP, logbook, training.
* Standing working at machines or tables
* Moving rolls/ inventory from area to area
* Computer work, printing labels, filling out data in the computer systems
* Reading Standard operating procedures
* Climbing stairs and ladders
* Working in scissor/Aerial lifts
Job Qualification
The following qualifications are required:
* A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required
* Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying degrees of temperatures and humidity.
* Will be expected to wear PPE
* While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to:
* Climb stairs, bend, squat, push, pull and perform overhead work.
* Repetitive forward bending at waist 15 reps/1 min
* Repetitive squatting 15 reps/1 minute
* Carry in left & right hands 15 lbs.
* Carry in two hands 20 lbs.
* Floor to waist 45lbs x 4 reps
* Floor to overhead 25 lbs. x 4 reps
* Lifting > 20-30 lb. frequently, lifting 40-50 lb. occasionally
* Use of heavy machinery
* Some work requires manual dexterity & repetitive movements of the upper extremities
* Must be able to work over time when required, per business need
* Blood pressure no greater than 150/90
* Visual acuity no worse than 20/30 near and far (uncorrected or corrected)
* Pulmonary function test: a) Fev 1.0_> 60% of predicted b) FVC _> 70% of predicted
* This role is located in Newark, DE and may require less than 5% of travel
The following qualifications are preferred:
* Associate degree, or higher is preferred
* A minimum of up to 3 years' work experience, industrial manufacturing/warehouse environment is preferred
* Flexibility to work in different shifts, to provide coverage, per business needs
