The Healthcare Economics team leads finance and analytics for DaVita Integrated Kidney Cares Government programs, including financial reporting and forecasting, claims-based analytics, and strategy development for future programs. The team uses a range of tools and platforms, including Excel, SQL, Python, and the principles of financial and statistical analysis to advise DaVitas senior leaders. Our day-to-day work is variable and filled with interesting and challenging problems, and well suited for self-starters who take pride uncovering the narrative within the data.

* Supporting DaVita Integrated Kidney Care operations and strategy with financial forecasts and analysis and preparing timely and accurate monthly and annual reporting
* Guiding operational and clinical decision-making using population health data to support patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney disease
* Using creativity and strong quantitative skills to improve DaVita Integrated Kidney Cares financial and population health reporting tools
* Developing expertise in Medicare Advantage, CMS Innovation Center, and other forward-thinking value-based care models
* Effectively communicating quantitative and financial insights to a wide range of teammates, including executives, operational leaders, and clinicians

What Expertise Do You Need to Bring to the Role?

* Statistical and quantitative analysis abilities

* Knowledge of relational database principles and demonstrable experience using at least one querying interface such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Hive

* Knowledge of at least one general-purpose, high-level programming language such as Python, C, C++, C, Java, Perl, or Ruby. Familiarity with low-level programming languages such as R is a plus.

* Comfort coding using procedural and iterative methods, including conditional statements, loops, and the creation of functions/subroutines. Familiarity with object-oriented programming preferred.

* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and value-matching/vlookups

* Outstanding problem-solving skills to break down sophisticated problems into digestible pieces.

* A tenacity to drive project outcomes and deliver results

* Effective verbal and written communications; adjusts to fit the audience and the message

* Ability and willingness to operate with and without significant amounts of direction, self-starters tend to do well

* Bachelor's degree required; focus in finance, math, statistics, or other quantitative areas strongly preferred

Salary/Wage Range

$56,500 to $83,000

* Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
