Position Overview:

This position will be a part of the Foodservice Customer Reimbursement Center of Excellence (COE) team which provides support to Sales and Finance teams in the NAOU related to the payment and administration of FSOP Customer Funding Reimbursements. This position will serve as lead for executing, implementing, and maintaining current, on-going and future process improvements within the applicable systems, working as a liaison with IT relative to providing business change requirements, user testing prior to deployment, and aligning with Audit on approval of business changes and associated impacts/enhancements to Internal Controls. This position requires subject matter expertise in the customer reimbursement systems and processes, along with the accounting experience to administer customer payments and reconciliations, pre-paid amortizations, and familiarity with GAAP and internal controls policy. The person in this role must be a self-starter, able to operate and work independently, knowledge and understanding of Company reimbursement systems and processes, a proactive and effective communicator with the ability to build relationship with cross-functional teams, and the ability to address and resolve issues, both internally and externally with customers. Associate must have the ability and desire to drive, execute, and implement process improvements that result in clear operational efficiencies.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for leading the execution, implementation, and maintenance of current, on-going and future process improvements across all applicable business systems.
* Liaison with IT providing Business change requirements, user testing, training, and change deployment.
* Sox Narratives updated as necessary.
* Alignment with Audit on approval of business change and implication/enhancement to Internal Controls.
* Responsible for accurate and timely funding administration of Customer Beverage Marketing Agreements (BMAs) in compliance with customer agreements & chart of authority. Perform the necessary analyses and reconciliations of any contractual funding calculations to support the payments.
* Establish/maintain partnerships and routines with Sales and finance teams in support of customer funding processes to support all financial deliverables, including time sensitive payments, internal client reporting and stewardship, audit requests, customer advance reconciliations, prepaid amortization, accrual routines, future deductions, and other monthly/quarterly/annual activities.
* Responsible for approving customer payments <= $250k for a Foodservice Zone.
* Provide training and education to clients on core processes and controls (e.g., SET RS, Billing, etc.)
* Provide subject matter expertise in the customer funding processes and participate as a subject matter expert in ad hoc projects to automate and improve processes (SET, Fast Track, etc.)
* Respond to customer inquiries and provide supporting documentation
* Ensure all financial transactions are recorded and reported in compliance with Company Accounting Policy and GAAP;
* Perform ad hoc requests as needed.

Education:

* BS in Accounting or Finance

Experience Requirements:

* 5 or more years of experience in progressively challenging Accounting or Finance roles
* Budget management skills
* Solid understanding of internal control requirements
* Ability and desire to process improve to drive efficiencies
* Strong computer and database application skills.
