Leadership:.

-Coordinates patient care needs with appropriate assignments to ensure standards of care are being met.

- Communication: Demonstrates the effective use of verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills to facilitate quality in patient care delivery and coordination of department activities.

-Staff Development: Plans for and participates in the clinical development and evaluation of unit staff and self to ensure unit clinical competency, position, retention, and personal growth.

-Oversees respiratory department in absence of unit director

-Guest Relations: Providing management and direction to staffing support of and adherence to the St. Luke=s Health System guest relation's philosophy to ensure that patients, physicians, visitors, and co-workers receive outstanding personal care and attention.

-Policies and procedures: Adheres to institutional policies to assure patient safety, consistency, and quality in health-care delivery.

-Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum education: Must be registered or eligible as a registered respiratory therapist or equivalent training as determined by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Must be licensed by the State of Arizona as a RCP when applicable.
2. Minimum experience: Two to three years respiratory therapist and one year experience as lead or charge respiratory therapist.
3. Required certification/registration.
4. Venous Access Specialist experience.
