Network Administrator, Mid
Key Role:
Support a communications engineering division by providing multidisciplinary network engineering support to the development, operation, and enhancement of a universal gateway. Secure mobile reach-back to enterprise services. Perform day-to-day administration of network infrastructures and their integration across various mobile endpoints. Uphold service support strategies addressing service desk, administrative, and Tier III support requirements, including testing new patches, addressing IA vulnerabilities, and troubleshooting required with Tier II services. Evaluate next-generation capabilities and validate pre-production, primary, and secondary environments. Provide technical expertise to DoD clients and ensure that work assignments and priorities are coordinated and completed within performance and schedule constraints.
Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience with IT
* Experience with Cisco or Juniper network switches, routers, and firewalls
* Experience with configuring and troubleshooting IPsec and SSL VPNs
* Experience with traffic analysis and event management tools, including Ixia, SolarWinds, Splunk, tcpdump, or Wireshark
* Experience with DNS, NTP, and routing/label-switching protocols, including RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, or MPLS
* Secret clearance
* AS or AAS degree
* DoD-approved 8570 Baseline Certification IAT Level II, including CCNA, GSEC, or Security+ CE
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience with DISN, DoDIN network services, enterprise services, or unified capabilities
* Experience with one or more of the following: mobile endpoints, device management, and architectures, including Apple iOS and Android, F5 BIG-IP family of load balancers, proxy appliances, Cloud and virtualization software and services, Citrix, VMware, Windows or Linux server software and technologies, HA and redundancy configurations, network monitoring protocols,. SNMP, NetFlow, RMON, IPFIX, Software-defined networking or SD-WAN, PKI implementations, or load-balancing and logical traffic separation using bridge domains, VLAN, and, or VRF
* Top Secret clearance
* BA or BS degree
* Associate-level network Certification, including Cisco CCNA or Juniper JNCIA
