Assist customers and inspectors with resolving question/problems regarding inventory accounting.

Verify that order creation has been done properly by control room personal to insure proper billing.

Verify line tracking on pumping orders to insure accurate inventory accounting.

Close out and enter into Galahad Inventory system all plant operation orders generated in the terminal. This requires confirming gauges with inspectors, customer representatives and pipeline companies and also matching pipeline meter tickets with associated moves when available.

Assist in researching variances between measurements to insure proper inventory accounting.

Answer inventory phone lines and route calls appropriately.

Maintain PTD's for federally controlled product and plant operating files.

Maintain filing of customer moves which includes pumping orders, barge folders on a daily basic and rotation of boxing files on a monthly basis of all activity for the previous month for all customers.

Work with Inventory Manager and Manager of Pipeline Operations on end of month close and daily customer research.

Train new Customer Service Representative on the most current policies and procedures.

To comply with training provided in order to be capable of all duties required to manage and reconcile customer inventories utilizing Kinder Morgans computer programs.

Understand and comply with telephone etiquette procedures.

Understand and comply with customer confidentiality when discussing customer accounts.

Comply with cross training to be able to work other CSR desk when needed.

Properly greet and communicate with all visitors.

Understand and comply with all requirements for any emergency.

Adhere to all Kinder Morgan policies and procedures.

Work overtime on weekdays, some weekend and holidays to insure orders are close in a timely manner mainly at month end due to tight close deadlines set by accounting.

Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus completion of basic accounting course work or 3-5 years related work experience using accounting principles.

Prior experience in and office clerical position

Good communication skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and database applications

Must have good mathematical skills

Excellent oral and written communications skills including demonstrated spelling, grammar and composition skills.

Exercise judgment and make decisions to promote smooth work flow in a team environment with changing demands to ensure that customer needs are met.

Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism (employees, customers, vendors, contractors, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to produce high quality work, handle competing priorities, effective organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work well under-pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines.

Flexible to work before or past normal working hours, weekends and holidays, with little or no notice, if necessary.

Supports and adheres to company/control room policies and procedures, including but not limited to Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Work with sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Accept ownership, be accountable and deliver on commitments and assigned projects and all essential job duties and requirements.

Must be able to work as a team, take directions from Manager(s), keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow safety and work rules.
