DESCRIPTION
Technical Business Development Manager (Tech BDM) for AWS Application Modernization Lab Amazon Web Services is looking for a Business Development Manager to help customers accelerate modernization of the Microsoft workloads on AWS. The goal of the Application Modernization Lab is to assist existing AWS customers as they modernize their development methods and patterns using a representative application from their portfolio. As an AWS business development leader, you will drive the engagement with customer's development and infrastructure teams, apply lessons learned from enterprises modernizing at scale on AWS, and build/evolve prescriptive guidance to help customers reliably scale modernization efforts. You are comfortable leading internal v-team across functions that include business development, engineering, marketing, partners, professional services, training, sales, and other related teams.
Role is in US East (NYC/Boston/DC).
The right candidate will have experience defining, selling, and delivering large scale transformation programs for enterprise customers. This includes demonstrated business development and selling experience, experience in developing programmatic approaches to build and scale applications, strong project management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, field engagement and enablement experience, a strong data and metrics bias, a good understanding of cloud solutions, and a passion for helping customers transform their business using cloud technologies.
Role & Responsibilities
Working backward from customer needs, develop and evolve AWS application modernizations value proposition and engagement mechanisms.
Lead combination of direct and cross-functional virtual teams to help customers initiate their application modernization journey to retire legacy application debt.
Identify opportunities to build compelling proposals to help customers achieve business value from application modernization and ensure clarity on AWS's value proposition(s).
Develop global mechanisms to deliver GTM elements that may include consultative workshops, reference materials, partner engagements, linkages to other Amazon programs.
Develop qualification and training approach to build out the community of field and partner resources to ensure customer business outcomes are realized.
Conduct customer briefings, present at customer events, further AWS thought leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
7 years relevant work experience in technology-enabled consultative, delivery, solutions, or business development roles focused on enterprises.
7 years of experience developing, implementing, managing, and executing customer programs.
Excellent business and financial acumen and negotiations skills.
Operational excellence, adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions.
Ability to multitask and manage portfolio of application modernization lab - work prioritization, planning, collaboration, and management.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Ability to effectively lead and work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in technology transformation, with experiences in cloud-led technology change program(s) in a leadership capacity.
Experience leading large application modernization to AWS.
