The NewCo delivery team is seeking motivated, results oriented individuals with strong execution and leadership skills for the role of a Senior Scrum Master. The responsibilities of a Senior Scrum Master include:

* Coach and ensures Scrum Team adheres to Scrum principles and best practices
* Drive and enables those outside the Scrum Team (development team) understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which arent. Motivate changes to improve interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team.
* Effectively lead multiple scrum teams
* Facilitate product planning in an inspect and adapt environment, and ensures the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value
* Provides information regarding team health: people, process, progress and overall satisfaction to Technology and Business Leaders
* Coaches the team members and other Scrum Masters to practice effective Scrum
* Removes impediments for the team and escalate appropriately
* Enhance cross scrum team communication and dependency management
* Insulates Scrum Team from distractions or disruption
* Coaches the Product Owner, Development Team, Technology and Business Leaders on Scrum values, principles and best practices
* Partners with the Product Owner, IT Delivery Lead and Business leadership to form execution delivery plans and manage progress
* Assess and improve the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
* Facilitates Release Planning
* Identifies and resolves gaps in skills, processes, and resources
* Build a trust and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
* Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Degree in Computer Science or related disciple with a minimum of 5+ years of work experience in IT development as a Senior Scrum Master
* First level Scrum Master certification required (CSM, PSM I) and certifications in Scaled Agile such as Agile Practitioner
* Experience playing the Senior Scrum Master role for at four years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory at a program level
* Experience in development using Scaled Agile framework
* Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
* Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
* Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual who is able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance and direction
* Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work in order to meet deadlines
* Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of an Organization
* Must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and mentoring
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present confidently before a large audience
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD is a plus
* Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games is a plus
* Experience in implementation of any insurance SaaS platform such as Duck Creek, Guidewire or others is a plus
* Experience or Exposure of leading software development teams in technologies such as C, .NET, Mobile frameworks including Bootstrap and AngularJS, JBOSS & Azure is a plus.
* Understanding of ACORD based schema/XML is a plus
