Job Description

Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, located in Naperville, IL is looking for a Marketing Communications Manager with 10+ years of experience who proactively develops, executes and oversees Global internal and external communication strategies on the divisional level to enhance the Nalco Water brand and profitability.

The candidate needs to have strong writing skills and ability to tell the Nalco Water story through all appropriate communications channels. Strong focus is on effective use of interactive media channels such as social media and video. The candidate will be leading/executing Marketing Communications projects including shaping value propositions for products and innovations, writing assignments (brochures, newsletters, case studies), producing videos and planning representation at trade fairs. All work is done in close alignment with Nalco Water global communications objectives. The position reports directly to VP Marketing Paper and dotted line to VP Global Communications.

What You Will Do:

* Proactively works with division management, marketing, and sales leadership to contribute to overall success and perception of company through development and deployment of a comprehensive communications strategy.
* Implements communication strategies, ensuring creative standards are maintained and the company brand image and policies are upheld.
* Leads and directs use of internal and external communication resources, including advertising, editorial articles in trade press, external media and public relations, press releases and media alerts, internal/external newsletters, public-facing Internet Web sites, company extranet and databases to enhance the effectiveness and success of Nalco Waters sales, marketing and communications effort.
* Together with marketing, recommends, develops, and implements event and marketing programs on a divisional level through needs assessments, development of strategic communication resources and budget recommendations.
* Recommends and develops internal and external multi-media communication strategies and tactical plans for specific marketing and internal initiatives.
* Proactively and continuously assesses communications strategies against business objectives, serves as strategic counsel on MarComms strategies and adjust as necessary.
* Serves as primary decision maker on whether deliverables comply with brand, legal, safety and other requirements.
* Monitors monthly expenditures to ensure efficient spending. Works with outside service agencies and suppliers to ensure efficient services and meeting of Nalco Water standards and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Degree in Marketing, Business Administration and/or Corporate and Business Communications Management (Digital Media)
* 10+ years of experience
* Previous experience in Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications, Business Media or Business function
* Disciplined management style to oversee projects and team members
* Strong organizational and leadership skills
* Strong writing skills
* Exceptional creativity and understanding of various media and key markets of importance
