Job Description

Join Nalco Water, an Ecolab company as an AVP Corporate Accounts, delivering comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers. As an Assistant VP Corporate Accounts leader, you will have the opportunity to show your initiative, drive and strategic thinking while refining the global corporate account sales strategy for the Downstream division to achieve aggressive global growth objectives as well as build the organizations reputation within the industries. You will manage and coach a team of geographically dispersed Corporate Accounts Managers.

Location: OPEN to anywhere in the US close to an airport.

What You Will Do:

* Develop the strategies needed to win and convert new business by collaborating with internal partners in alignment with broad customer needs and value drivers.
* Coach and develop a high caliber team of Corporate Accounts Managers to deliver against high growth expectations; recruiting and training talent when needed.
* Drive engagement and motivate the team to deliver the highest level of performance, sales and growth.
* Evaluate individual sales efforts against measurable performance requirements and targets, ensuring that the global team successfully meets new sales and portfolio management expectations.
* Implement and oversee appropriate sales processes, procedures, and support needed to increase individual and team effectiveness and accelerate sales cycle.
* Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of sales strategies in key market segments in partnership the marketing and technical teams.
* Demonstrate deep industry knowledge and build network of customers and influences through support industry events and associations.
* Provide continuous coaching and development to team of district managers to create and maintain value in the business segment. Act quickly to address performance deficiencies. Maintain documentation and apprise appropriate others of the status of performance issues
* Support team and internal partners in identifying trends, understanding market conditions, and sharing expertise and knowledge.
* Reinforce a clear vision for the team corresponding to strategic objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree
* 10 years of successful technical sales and corporate or national sales experience including calling on multi-level plant or facilities management and developing executive-level relationships utilizing a consultative sales approach.
* 5+ years of leading and developing teams
* Demonstrated sales skills including relationship-based selling and prospecting
* No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity
* Minimum of 50% travel, averaging one out of five weeks for office time

Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters degree or MBA
* Experience with a large, global, matrixed organization
* Demonstrated ability to build collaborative teams across regions, functions and businesses
* Financial and analytical skills, including the understanding of a P&L; and the financial implications of customers situations and concerns
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organization and follow-up skills
* A desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment

Ecolab Inc. sells its products through field sales and corporate account personnel, distributors, and dealers. The company was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota.
