Position Summary
Support and manage all aspects of brand, marketing advertising, sponsorships and community outreach as assigned. The Brand Account Manager is the primary liaison between internal clients, communication consultants, advertising agency, consultants and in-house design team. They are responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal clients. They lead the planning and oversee strategic application through execution of go-to-market activities to achieve goals and business objectives. They manage day-to-day work-flow.

Essential Responsibilities

* Accurately interpret and articulate internal client/company goals, objectives and needs Oversees development of briefing documents to ensure consistency with brand strategy and product/program goals. Route briefs to internal stakeholders for required approvals prior to agency/internal creative team kick-off.
* Engages with internal peers to develop and utilize insights data to inform strategy, align objectives and implement measurement to ensure optimization and success.
* Engages with internal peers to develop and execute cross-functional advertising, marketing and communications plans and programs. Ensures that work presented by the agency and internal teams is on strategy and supports the brand campaign platform and adherence to Xcel Energy standards and guidelines.
* Direct and manage complex, multifaceted projects and programs.
* Work with agency and internal partners to keep all projects on track and assure that projects proceed according to production and media schedules and are on-budget.
* Proactively seeks and mines strategic opportunities that achieve company goals and appropriately enlists internal management and agency resources to address client opportunities/challenges. Develops a thorough knowledge and understanding of Xcel Energy business, products, markets, trends, and internal organization dynamics.
* Budget/financial management awareness and ownership as assigned and maintain a thorough and current knowledge of Xcel Energy programs and products.

Minimum Requirements

* BA in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
* 5 years of advertising, communications or brand marketing experience which includes agency and ideally, client side experience.
* Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of brand, advertising and promotion principles.
* Working knowledge of agency disciplines, process and workflow.
* Well versed in all tactical aspects of branding, advertising and sponsorships to include but not limited to; broadcast, print, out-of-home, digital, social and promotions.
* Committed to collaboration and has experience working across marketing, brand and communications channels.

Preferred

* Strong communication skills; listens, talks, writes and presents well, communications are clear and concise, with ability to interact effectively with senior-level executives
* Experience in developing and evolving foundational brand strategy elements, advertising and marketing strategies, roadmaps/journey flow and presentations that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences including residential and commercial customers, employees and shareholders
* Self-directed and highly motivated
* Is flexible and adaptable to change
* Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in parallel and manage a wide array of internal and external stakeholders
* Anticipates potential problems and is committed to bringing forward innovative solutions.
* Can develop a proactive, friendly, trusted rapport with clients, peers and agency personnel.
* Well-versed in taking action to avoid and/or resolve conflict.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $72,100 to $102,433 per year
