Responsibilities
Researches, identifies, analyzes, develops and implements customer business relationship strategies. Identifies business expansion opportunities, develops proposals to solicit new opportunities. Serves as a key member of the Marketing and Distribution working groups.
* Identifies and assesses new areas for distribution expansion, develops new initiatives and captures new business opportunities, as well as deepens existing client relationships.
* Maintains and constantly improves the organizations competitive posture within the Excess & Surplus Lines market segment.
* Identifies a continuous pipeline of revenue generating opportunities.
* Manages multiple efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines.
* Oversees and assists in the preparation of Agency Intelligence marketing packages, presentations and other related activities for potential opportunities.
* Works with Senior Leadership team and technical staff to develop relevant and new reports as needed to support business development activities.
* Maintains broad knowledge of industry news, trends, competitor strategies and regulations, assists in the competed posture.
* Analyzes competition data, market trends and customer needs and comments, forecasts, etc. to continually asses the marketing and distribution strategy against budget, plan, and market.
* Analyzes agency partner production data (submission volume, hit ratio, declination ratio, etc.) and reports progress on goals, and update on agency meetings and other business generating activities.
* Identifies and generates reports on marketing and sales metrics.
* Ensures that all regular clients are being visited and relationship is being maintained on a regular basis.
* May perform other functions as assigned.
Qualifications
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of customers
* Solid skills in Microsoft suite of programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.
* Entrepreneurial qualities, such as trying innovative solutions, resiliency to change and recognizing what is most important to get done.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
