Job Description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting new and existing Team Members in becoming familiar with Tyson and accessing community services, housing, schools, medical services, social services, etc. as needed. Responsibilities include: Act as mediator when required with these agencies; provide interpreter and translator services as needed; act as liaison between community and the facility and represent the company in a positive manner with community leaders; assist in Human Resources duties as required by HR Manager. We will ask that the community liaison: Act as mediator when required. Work with nursing to provide translation services and attend doctors appointments with Team Member when necessary. Act as liaison in the community working with local schools and other area resources to ease team member transitions to our community. Develop and create community events for all Team Members to include: Annual fair to make team members aware of community resources. Work with community experts and Chaplain to provide educational classes such as: financial education classes, child care, and life skills. Organizing on or off site ESL Class for Marshallese and Spanish team members. Work with new applicants to complete the application and onboarding process. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelors degree in HR or Public Relations preferred. Experience: 2 plus years experience with Tyson's public relations or social service experience preferred. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills required. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must have excellent interpreter and translator skills for English and Marshallese. Bilingual in English and Marshallese required. Supervisory: May be required to manage office staff and assist HR Manager.
