Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Modeled Based Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

* Derive, Allocate, Update and Maintain requirements and specifications
* Develop Weapon System Architecture Model and Requirements Verification Architecture Model.
* Develop and managing interfaces.
* Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate test requirements and prepare test reports
* Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
* Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
* Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function
* Interface with AF customer

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

You rsquo;ll Bring These Qualifications:

* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Software discipline from an accredited university with Minimum 9 years of related engineering experience with a bachelor 39;s degree; 7 years 39; experience with a related Master 39;s degree; or 4 years 39; with a PhD
* Active DoD Secret Clearance
* At least 1 year of MBSE experience with 3 years of Systems Engineering Experience

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* 5 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System
* Experience with any of the following tools and languages: CORE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, Easy Power, Prima Vera, UML, SysML
* More than 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering and any of the following areas:
* Requirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification Trees
* Systems and end item requirements validation and verification
* Design: Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade Studies
* General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines: Safety, Nuclear Hardness, Nuclear Surety, Material Science, Environmental, Parts and Logistics, etc
* Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis
* Project Management
* Decision Making: Risk Management, Cost-Risk-Benefit Analysis
