Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is looking for a Quality Engineering Manager 3, to lead the electronics inspection and quality engineering teams at our Manhattan Beach, CA location.

Responsibilities:

* Leverages a complete and thorough understanding of Program Management and Mission Assurance as well as proven leadership, managerial, and communication skills across all levels of the company
* Establishes and nurtures an excellent working relationship with all customers, both internal and external
* Provides and manages MA support for existing and future programs
* Supports other engineering disciplines in Production, Engineering, Software, Design and Supplier Quality
* Implements, maintains, and continually improves of the established QMS according to the requirements of the Quality Standard and Division, Sector, and Corporate quality policies, processes, and procedures
* Ensures the total integration of quality requirements throughout all phases of design, planning, procurement, test, delivery, and post-delivery support
* Provides leadership, guidance, support, clearly creates assignments, help employees connect their efforts to the larger goals of the organization, create an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and build a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance
* Advocate and implement continuous improvement opportunities, providing leadership and guidance in identifying and executing tasks to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of program performance

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Must have one of the following:
* Bachelor rsquo;s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience and have experience in program management or mission assurance
* OR Master rsquo;s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience and have experience in program management or mission assurance
* A minimum of 5 years rsquo; previous experience in People and Technical Leadership roles
* Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, AS9102 and CMMI requirements and understanding of relationships with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
* Working knowledge of Material Review and Failure Review Boards, with various methods of root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why, Ishikawa, Current Reality tree, etc.)
* Ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance
* Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master of Science (MS) in program management, mission assurance, Industrial Technologies, or electronic/electrical related field
* Experience and knowledge of Space Products and programs
* Active SCI clearance
* Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.
* Experience with leading or supporting Root Cause Corrective Action teams
* Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts, process and tools
* Understanding of Lean-Agile methodologies
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
* Working knowledge of Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, processes improvements, and inspection tools
