Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist 3 with experiences in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman rsquo;s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division Procurement team within the Space Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems.

Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the procurement acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of procurements while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration.

Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Within the SDSD organization the candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, complex negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in multiple areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and demonstrating an affinity for working with, or understanding both manufacturing and technology.

This position is responsible for executing major procurement activities and providing contractual support and documentation to suppliers in support of programs.

This position rsquo;s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor rsquo;s degree and 6 years of experience or a Master rsquo;s degree plus 4 years of experience.

* Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with the management of other organizations (program management, contracts, business management, etc.) as well as with the suppliers on the program.
* Must be motivated, organized and have effective time management skills.
* Must be able to effectively work independently with general supervision.
* Must have Microsoft Office experience
* Must be able to receive a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with FAR/DFARS.
* SAP Experience
* Secret Clearance.
