Senior Product Designer
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer for our quickly growing Portland-based innovation lab. This lab is responsible for building a full suite of B2C e-commerce products for Lithia Motors. This role will have a strategic impact on the products, as well as help shape how Lithia approaches product design.
The Senior Product Designer reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Innovation out of Portland, Oregon. (Working remote for the near future).
Position Overview
Area of Responsibility
* Design end-to-end interfaces as a member of an embedded cross-functional product team.
* Own the entire design process, both UX and UI, from the concept to production ready screens.
* Ensure design solutions are consistent with our design system, and brand guidelines.
* Partner with the teams Product Manager and Tech lead to drive business outcomes.
* Champion design decisions within the team and to other internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the rest of our (stellar) design team to ensure consistency and a high level of quality across all our products.

* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Active Listening give full attention to the words and body language of others, take time to understand the points being made and ask questions as appropriate
* Critical Thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
* Time Management ability to prioritize workload and manage ones own time
* Sharp instincts about general product design methods, practices, and processes with spikes of expertise in a particular area. We have designers that specialize in brand design, systems design, service design, UX research, etc, and appreciate expertise.
* Solidly own your craft, and have a portfolio showing work that youve done within the last 2-3 years. We are more interested in learning about the depth of your expertise than breadth of your various projects.
* Plan and execute your own work, independently.
* Excellent visual communicator (charts, infographics, etc). Bonus points for being able to make the complicated seem simple.

Lithia Hiring Requirements
* High school graduate or equivalent.
