We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer for our EH&S Division at our Advanced Technology Center located in The Woodlands, Texas.

This role is responsible to support global manufacturing across all divisions with respect to performance achievement in mechanical integrity programs including fixed and rotating equipment condition assessments, inspection planning, failure risk assessments, remaining life assessments, and incident learning. This role will interact with various industrial institutions, such as PIP, and other related organizations to identify best practices and investigate emerging technologies. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a community of practice, including networking with division contacts focused on mechanical integrity issues in support of manufacturing. This role may also provide support in the related areas of materials failure analysis, projects, engineering design, and maintenance. Additionally, this role will assist with project evaluations and occasionally participate on MI audits.

What will be expected from you?

* Identify, demonstrate, and train others on best practice methods in equipment condition assessments, Preventive and Predictive maintenance strategies, damage mechanisms/failure mode analysis, and other analysis related to mechanical integrity
* Advise manufacturing engineers with respect to mechanical integrity and reliability analysis, incident investigations, and repair/replace decisions, and mechanical design analysis.
* Evaluate incidents for learning opportunities to proactively improve performance through engineering design, maintenance strategies, and inspection methods.
* Provide support to global manufacturing teams for the development and execution of mechanical integrity programs.
* Collaborate with Huntsman associates and industry peer groups in support of knowledge sharing
* Develop and participate in global mechanical integrity and reliability user networks
* Monitor the direction of the external organizations and new technologies to advance Huntsman objectives
* Provide expert opinions, judgment and engineering interpretations

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

* Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience
* Must be able to independently achieve assigned objectives by working effectively with others
* Must demonstrate a high ability to multitask, prioritize, and achieve objectives in a timely manner
* Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization using tact and diplomacy
* Must be ability to think independently, make decisions, and exercise professional judgment
* Must be able to direct or assist others in making the correct mechanical integrity related decisions
* Direct experience in a petrochemical manufacturing engineering (operations/maintenance) role working with the development, implementation, and execution of mechanical integrity programs for plant equipment and systems as the responsible engineer
* Direct experience in the authoring/development of guides, training, specifications and standards
* Experience in a refinery or chemical plant working with hazardous chemicals,
* Extensive knowledge and direct experience working with applicable RAGAGEP standards and programs
* Working knowledge of maintenance strategies and NDE technologies applicable to fixed, rotating, electrical, and instrumentation type equipment and systems
